An award winning national publisher with an immensely successful online brand, now has the opportunity for a highly experienced Media Sales Manager to join their organisation and position themselves as their national sales leader and brand ambassador for the organisation.
This senior management role will require you to continue building the national sales team, be hands on in the roles of both Agency and Direct Sales forming strategic partnerships and developing long term revenue streams for the brand.
- Reporting to the Executive team you will be fully responsible for the Digital Sales and revenue strategy for the business
- You will lead, mentor, build and drive a national sales team of high performance Partnership & Account Managers to take the organisation into their next stage of growth
- You will be hands on in identifying, pitching, presenting, negotiating and converting sales opportunities for Digital Advertising, Content and Sponsorships with Media Agencies and direct with large blue chip clients nationally
- You will develop and implement sophisticated solution based business development strategies to gain market share and optimise revenue opportunities in appropriate markets
- Delivering a superior standard of value to key clients and working collaboratively with all internal departments to ensure customised Digital Advertising, sponsorships, content and Marketing solutions, will be a key focus of your role
- It goes without saying that forecasting, reporting and conducting market analyses will be part of your remit
You will be a highly motivated and experienced Digital Sales Manager who can demonstrate a successful history in leading a Sales team while being actively involved in Agency Sales and Direct Sales. You will be a "hunter" by nature and happy to be "hands-on" in leading your team by example in participating in business development and negotiations on a daily basis. You will be exceptional at being a brand ambassador all the while mentoring your staff in a similar approach to position the brand with advertisers where it has been awarded - #1 in its key demographic.
You will need to demonstrate:
- That you have a minimum of 5 + years Media Sales Management experience with 3+years in Digital Media Publishing or similar
- A network of Media Agency and relevnat business contacts in the Sydney marketplace
- That you can demonstrate a strong history in Media Sales business development from identifying opportunities through to sales conversions
- That you have a portfolio of examples to demonstrate your ability selling customised digital advertising solutions, content and sponsorships packages in the Digital Media arena
- That you are a results-driven manager who knows how to lead, manage and drive a sales team to achieve revenue targets and KPIs
- The completion of a certified (or at least recognised) Sales Training and Management Training courses will be highly regarded
